Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Messages sent directly to us may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the exchange. They remain within the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server may automatically receive technical details about that visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that help show how visitors move through the site, including popular pages and exit points. Analytics services combine this traffic information. A browser can block cookies, though doing so may change how some features behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Finding and correcting technical faults
- Operating the website and improving load performance
- Routing a submitted query to the selected search provider
- Measuring which resources visitors use
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Titus County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It describes official access through Titus County law enforcement, the courts, Texas DPS Crime Records Division, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not turned into a consumer report or a third-party criminal record. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. A partner's own privacy policy governs information submitted to its tool, including retention and sharing. Review that policy before sending a query because we do not control the partner's practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Titus County offices, courts, Texas agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy terms control. Review them before providing personal information.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted ads.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Analytics providers measuring traffic and performance
- Search partners processing a query
- Advertising networks placing ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures protect the information collected. No internet system is fully secure, however, and this policy cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Information identified as coming from a minor will be removed when properly brought to our attention.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide rights over personal data. Texas public-record access follows the Texas Public Information Act, while Government Code Chapter 411 controls criminal-history dissemination and nondisclosure. Those government-record laws do not turn this private site into a records custodian. A visitor may still:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change as site practices or legal duties change. A revised version will appear here with a new effective date.
